- screen nav is poor for someone as skinny as he is
- solidly reactive in his space, will never make a play away from his man
Playmaking
- 8.2 ast%, 11.9 TO%
- makes scheme passes well
- if he comes off a screen he is NOT passing
- mostly throws jump passes, worrying for a guy his size
Shooting
- 38.8 3p%, 32.0 long2%, 88.7 ft%
- real movement shooter already from NBA range
- can hit shots moving to either side
- can shoot over defenders on closeouts but not while smothered
- PU middie is a nice counter but not often used
Finishing
- 55.1% at the rim, 9-13 on dunks
- really poor touch around the rim
- cannot take contact on drives, like at all

- flings his body into defenders well
Miscellaneous
- probably has small hands
- flings his body around w reckless abandon at all times tbh
Conclusion
Hawkins is THE shooter in this class in many ways. He's a super strong motion shooter who can knockdown basically any shot as long as he's in rhythm. The difference for us w consensus comes when you look at the rest of his game, where despite playing on a very well spaced team, he couldn't finish at the rim and he wasn't much of a playmaker either, Hawkins is a bet on just how far one skill can take you and in the NBA that's usually not too far.
Defense/Rebounding
- 12.9 blk%, 1.5 stl%, 17.8 dreb%, 12.3 oreb%

- slow to recover in hedge, not currently proficient in drop either
- reaction time w anything other than shotblocking is slow
- covers ground defensively really quickly
Playmaking
- 9.8 ast%, 15.7 TO%
- solid standstill passer
- absolutely cannot dribble
Shooting
- 60.0 ft%
- zero shooting projection from any range
Finishing
- 77.1% at the rim, 54-55 on dunks
- shot uhhhhhhhh 48.7% on layups
- great wingspan and athleticism make him an elite lob threat
- has really poor touch for a big man who plays primarily within 5 ft of the basket
- entire offense is from the dunker's spot
Miscellaneous
- 12.8% USG would be lowest of anybody taken in the first round probably ever? Lowest in BART database is Dalen Terry at 14.9%
- loves to fake screen
Conclusion
Lively had a weird year w an injury to start the year and then coming off the bench after behind Filipowski and still usually having to share the floor w another big. Lively is elite at lob catching and shotblocking out of rotation but just how far can those two skills take you w not much other substance?

- can run DHO's and throw a few backdoor passes
- doesn't really make short roll reads
Shooting
- 23.1 3pt%, 36.1 long2%, 78.9 ft%
- trebuchet jumper from two and three
- not good enough to hit PNP's but could hit SU's
- footwork is v good
Finishing
- 74.5% at the rim, 31-33 on dunks
- quick leaper who can catch lobs w ease
- rolls hard and gets right to the rim out of the PNR
- great touch on putbacks
Miscellaneous
- good screener but often slips too early
- relentless motor on both ends of the floor, always hustling
- there's worry about his ability to play in drop due to size and lack of experience
Conclusion
WSU great Efe Abogidi was injured early in the G League season but showed enough in his two college seasons and in those first few games to earn this ranking. He's incredibly bouncy, has some flashes of stretch and great touch and plays technically proficient defense in hedge, could potentially be a great change of pace big with the potential to be a starter if the shot ever falls and he can stay healthy.
*all stats are from his 21-22 college season

Craig Porter Jr is one of the best sleepers in this class w one of the most interesting stats profiles of any player ever. He's a small ish guard w a super high motor, a high feel for the game and a super complementary skillset. Its easy to see Porter Jr contributing to winning at a high level and having a sneaky high ceiling.

- covers ground v quickly on the defensive end
- able to track his man and the ball really well as an offball defender

- athletic enough laterally to play POA
Playmaking

- handle is really high
- can drive in a straight line to attack closeouts(if he draws them)
- pass delivery is meh, reads the floor slowly
Shooting
- 58.9 ft%
- flashes of OTD shooting but his footwork is a mess

Finishing
- 57.7% at the rim, 28-35 on dunks
- good cutter and mover, team wouldn't pass him the ball often
- touch around the rim is uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Miscellaneous
- probably gonna be a five at the next level to cover the offense, but can probably defend 1-5
- lots of dumb fouls
Conclusion
Fudge has the potential to be a game changing defender who can make up for other, weaker defenders. If he could do anything on offense he'd be a top 20 player in the class, but as it stands he's just a collection of flashes on that end.
Defense/Rebounding
- screens will generally take him out of a play
- gets blown by a lot at the POA, but is effective against slow guards usually because of his solid size
- ball watches a lot off-ball
Playmaking

- reads things too reactively, doesn’t always make the best pass that’s available
-good pocket passer
- generally good touch on passes
- very decisive as a passer
Shooting
- gets good elevation
- comfortable pulling up from anywhere on the court, but forces it too much
Finishing
- good frame for finishing around the rim
- struggles getting to the rim on his own outside of straight line drives
- not very explosive around the rim as a leaper
Miscellaneous
- always on balance
- bad understanding of space and how to operate within it
Conclusion
Hood-Schifino is a sold as a big guard who plays more like a wing the more you watch. He lacks some processing skills, but has the passing chops to be a really good connective passer. He’s very comfortable as a shooter, but often lacks the handle or burst to be a high level finisher. The frame allows him to get away with more defensively, but he is not someone Indiana trusted at the point of attack, and it’s difficult to imagine NBA teams would either. There’s limitations to his game, but in the right situation Jalen Hood-Schifino has the opportunity to be effective if utilized more off-ball.
Defense/Rebounding
- 9.2 blk%, 1.7 stl%, 20.2 dreb%, 6.6 oreb%

- has a lot of passes deflected for someone as big as he is
Shooting
- 32.8 long2%, 72.9 ft%
- took a lot of ft line twos this year and hit them at an ok rate for a big
Finishing
- 67.3% at the rim, 20-21 on dunks
- doesn't really fight in the post
- pump fake king
- touch is ok, cannot handle contests as a touch finisher tho
Miscellaneous
- solid, heavy screener, does a lot of the little things well
Conclusion
On first glance Colin looks like just another run of the mill immobile big man, but upon further inspection he's one of the most interesting big bets outside of the first round in this class. He's very technically proficient in drop and has some of the best ground coverage of any big in the class. If a team is looking for a change up big to come off the bench Colin is gonna be the best bet available late.

- hits some v tight windows as a passer
Shooting
- 33.0 3p%, 41.1 long2%, 78.2 ft%
- definitely has NBA range
- J is v fast and v v flicky

- flashes of motion and relocation shooting
Finishing
- 56.4% at the rim, 10-11 on dunks
- tends to drive without a plan
- can hit one move and get to the rim but tends to be unable to create space as a driver
- gonna be a solid closeout attacker and DHO guy
Miscellaneous
- 29.9% usg gives me hope that scaling back can improve shooting %
- great sense of when to contest shots and when to stay down for rebounds
Conclusion
Emoni Bates is a name that's been in the basketball collective consciousness for the last few years. I won't go too deep into the details here but he struggled last year at Memphis and transferred to Eastern Michigan where he was able to really play his style of ball and show off a lot of what made him a highly touted hs recruit, tough shotmaking. There were also flashes of movement shooting that were tough for him to show next to other players who mostly either just stood around or took tough shots as well, but there's a clear cut role for Emoni at the next level if he's willing to lean all the way into that shot.
Defense/Rebounding
- 5.4 blk%, 2.7 stl%, 20.4 dreb%, 6.8 oreb%
- combination of length, strength and hands make him an elite defensive playmaker
- slides his feet alright for a guy as heavy as he is
- chase down shotblocker
- perfect defender at the level in the PNR
- overcommits to closeouts, isn't athletic enough to recover
Playmaking
- 20.2 ast%, 20.4 TO%
- makes short roll reads well
- handle is alright in a straight line
- good connective passer and quick decision maker
- delivery on passes is kinda mid
- telegraphs passes so badly
Shooting
- 38.5 3pt%, 39.7 long2%, 77.4 ft%
- J is slow and not versatile
- prefers to step into his shots
- doesn't look to shoot even when open
Finishing
- 71.2% at the rim, 43-45 on dunks
- can get up for oops
- wants to dunk everything
- can dunk off pure vert
- has solid touch around the rim on strength based layups
Miscellaneous
- 52.1% FTR is really nice, uses strength and solid straight line handle to get to the line a lot
- insane load leaper
Conclusion
Slawson will come into the league as someone teams should be looking to use as a mi-it-up kind of 5 who could potentially play the 4 if the shot ever becomes consistent. He's on the older end but its easy to see him as a roleplayer for a long time if he goes to the right team.
